Lots to tell you all today! We just got home from Natural Bridge, VA. My in-laws have a cute little home there. It’s a shame we don’t get there any more than we do since it is so beautiful but we do have a great time when we go.
I had a great birthday and I want to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes. I was so surprised to have so many people leave me messages! Thanks!
My next news isn’t so good. A boy who races with my oldest grandson went to SC for the national race. He was thrown from his go-kart and then run over by three karts. He was flown to the Shock Trauma center in Columbia, SC. with compression fractures in his back, fractured hip with part of the bone missing, a gaping hole in his bottom. Now they have determined he has many fractures in his ankle. He had surgery on his hip and behind yesterday and will have ankle surgery today. The swelling is so bad all over his body that is has been hard to find all the injuries. At first he had no feeling from his neck down, he has since regained all feeling! He was able to call his cousin yesterday and let her know he was okay.
This 14-year-old child is being so strong. He has a long road ahead of him and probably many more surgeries but he is hanging in there. Please continue to keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.
Again, thank you doesn’t seem like much for all of you, for all of your support but I don’t know anything else to tell you!
THANK YOU!!! I appreciate each and every one of you…
